  2. They start off by showing a wide shot of the town to show the setting. Then they show the high school, which is the main part of the plot. Lastly, they prioritize the main character falling on the floor.

  2. The connotations of the images show the setting and it shows the main characters and puts highlights on them.

  2. By using specific visual cues, dialogue and narrative elements. These codes help establish the movie as a comedy-drama with elements of romance and coming of age.

  2. By introducing the main character, Olive, as a highschool student who suddenly gains a reputation for being promiscuous. This creates mystery because the audience wants to know how and why this happened.

  The assignment was to capture pictures of someone or something with the camera angles and shots we took notes about. I decided to use my dog and aunt and uncle to demonstrate these camera shots because I felt like it was easier to capture the different angles. The hardest shot for me was the extreme close up and mid shot. The extreme close up was one of the hardest because I had to zoom in and find the perfect angle that demonstrates the difference between the extreme and regular close up shots. Mid shot was also hard for the same reason that I had to perfect it to show the difference between mid shot and long shot.
